Every couple of months Global Samaritans likes to spotlight one of our amazing children. It is a great way for our supporters to learn more about our children. Keep checking back!
Anton is 12 years old and in the 4th Grade. Anton came to Global Samaritans Children’s Home in June of 2008. He is the half-brother to Roma, another one of our children. Anton and Roma’s mother died in 2005 from HIV/AIDS related diseases and no information is known about his father’s whereabouts. Before coming to Global Samaritans, Anton was living in a two-room house with his aunt and eleven other people in the Linda area of Livingstone. There was no income at the home and there was a high level of vulnerability. Regrettably, Anton had not been in school for more over a year. When Anton came to Global Samaritans all of his possessions fit into a small shopping bag. He was excited to be re-untied with Roma that he cried all the way to the orphanage. Anton’s English was improved drastically. He is a good boy and he is doing wonderful in school. His hobbies include playing football and basketball, spending time with his friends, and drawing pictures.
