School

Global Samaritans High School was established in January, 2010 on the grounds of the children’s home in Zambia. Previously, with no local high school, a secondary level education was difficult, if not impossible, for the children in our area. We are thankful to Ronald McDonald House Charities for their generous grant which made our high school possible. Under the supervision of David Combrink and Gibson Choonde, a group of dedicated local men did a superb job constructing a beautiful facility over the past year.

We are privileged to have an outstanding teaching staff with Headmaster, Owen Lisulo, and teachers, Mirriam Konga, Kenny Lwinya and Harrison Muleya. Our school opened with fifty four students, grades eight through twelve. Twenty five students reside at our children’s home and 29 students are from nearby villages. For many in Zambia, formal education ends at grade seven as they cannot afford to continue their education at the high school level. We are happy to assist in this area where possible. Our students are doing very well scholastically, and we know they will continue to excel under our current leadership in Zambia.

We view our high school as a critical ministry, providing a door of opportunity for many children to become future leaders who will serve and impact Zambia. Several of our students have already expressed interest in careers of service, such as teaching and nursing. We plan to continue to refine and expand our curriculum and facilities, as funds allow, providing the best possible education to the teenagers in our area of Zambia.

Global Samaritans is in need of additional funds for the high school facilities and to expand our scholarship program. If u are interested in making a donation to the high school, you can do so through the donations page by indicating for school building fund or scholarship fund. We are always in need of school supplies (pen, pencils, crayons, markers, sharpies, chalk, rulers, notebook paper, construction paper, folders, etc) for our children at Global Samaritans and the children who attend our high school. Thank you for supporting this ministry!

Please enjoy the Zambian national anthem sung by our children during the high school dedication.
